Thanks to our good friend Marcio we got some news that, right now in Brazil, they're starting a 2011 BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys Promotion at McDonalds ( In Brazil they call it "Mc Lanche Feliz" ). But the cool thing is that the toys are completely different than the ones we just had here in the USA. For Brazil, it looks like they have gone back to the regular-size toy & there are 4 of them to collect: The PENGUIN in his Penguin-Submarine, a PLASTIC MAN Figure, BATMAN in his BAT-COPTER ( or Bat-Gyro! ), and the JOKER'S Jokermobile Car! Oh man, from the photo up above you can tell that these are completely beautiful. But wait, there's more! Please be sure to view the official McDonald's TV Commercial video down below. ( Thanks again Marcio! )
Be sure to keep an eye out later this year for Mattel's new DC Universe Classic Action Figure "MAD LOVE" 2-Pack Set featuring the Joker & Harley Quinn. But remember that you won't find these everywhere because they are a Toys-R-Us Exclusive. Something sort of interesting: The position of the characters inside the packaging is based on Alex Ross' iconic Painting "Tango With Evil" ( see pic below ). The figures look great but I love some of the accessories - Harley's Giant-Gun and Hammer, Joker Playing Cards, Joker's Cane & Mallet, plus... a Joker Fish!
Oh yeah! This JOKER BIRTHDAY CAKE photo is for all the Bat-Blog Fans who have an event in the month of June.... HAPPY BAT-DAY!!
GAMESPOT, an Awesome Gamer News Site, has just reported that you will be able to play as CATWOMAN in the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game!! To celebrate I created the "CATWOMAN ARKHAM CITY WALLPAPER" up above that you can use to brighten your desktop. Then, be sure to check out the amazing video featuring the Feline of Crime! Oh yeah, look for BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC Games on October 18th, 2011!

Here's a random photo I found on the Internet where the main function of the pic was to dramatize the use of car wax! In fact, this photo was taken right after a fresh coat of NXT Tech Wax was applied. Yeah, the photo was about selling Meguiar's Auto Wax products, ha! But for us Batman Fans this pic is all about THE JOKER!! Oh man, this paint job is just completely amazing! Of course the Joker's face looks great, but I really love the "black toxic smoke" effect too.

I noticed a story the other day over at COMICS ALLIANCE that sort of broke my heart a little bit. It appears that Moose Baumann, an extremely talented comic book colorist, is being plagued with having to deal with his Wife's Cancer Treatment ( We hope she is feeling better soon ). You see, most Comic Book Artists are pretty much "freelance" or self-employed. Many don't have proper Health Insurance. So, to help deal with the bills Moose Baumann is offering "Superhero Art Prints" to help raise money. The prints are 13" x 19" and printed on archival paper. They're some of the many comic book covers ( and inside artwork ) that he has colored. Now, We have only posted a few as examples here but there are more variations on Batman and Robin. There are also some images of Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Iron Man, etc... Here's a LINK to check it out!! Oh yeah, the prints are only $20 so while you're there buy 3 or 4, thanks.
Here's a JOKER FAN-FILM made by a few friends with probably no budget at all. But over all it's put together really well. The basic story is the Joker giving a message to Batman. Also, It's obviously the "Heath Ledger" version from "The Dark Knight" movie. The make-up & acting is pretty decent, check it out!

I recently received some very nice photos from a fellow Batman Collector named Brad ( Be sure to click on them for larger, more detailed, pics ). He has a really great Batman Statue Collection. Now, there were a ton of photos so I'm just showing a few right now, and later I will post the rest. But I'm putting them in categories, so they make sense, so don't worry. These pics focus mainly on the Batman: Black and White statues. Then, there's a few other busts & random statues... all great stuff! I think it's really neat to see a lot of the B&W figures all together. They always make an interesting display. My next post will focus on his Joker Collection so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, here's some great stuff to drool over, ha! ( Thanks to Brad for sharing, YOU ROCK, Sir! )
Here's an interesting Fan-Made BATMAN CGI Animation Video I found on YouTube from a user named "MarvelZombie2099" and it's his personal homage to Gotham City. He created some really nice Batman and Robin 3-D models and later decided to make an animation starring the Dynamic Duo. His goal was to create a Silver Age Batman story that focused on crime fighting and action without the modern Dark Knight angst. The characters look pretty good & I totally love the Batmobile car! As usual, with Batman, the Villains steal the show!

Here's some news to keep Gambling-Addicts happy! According to the CASINO ADVISOR website it looks like BATMAN is now going to be a popular ONLINE gambling game. So, I guess don't go to your favorite real-life casino looking for it, ha! It's going to be a "Slot Machine" type of online video game with the Joker as the main villain. The graphics look kinda cool & you can see Batman, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Batmobile, Batcycle, Batsignal, Bang Flag, Acid Flower, Batwing, Harpoon Gun, Joker Playing Card, and of course, The Joker!

A friend of mine sent me a link the other day to website for an amazing Graphic Artist named Mark Fredrickson. His artwork is extremely cool & I've known about his work for a long time but never knew his name, ha! You see, he created a few of the covers for MAD Magazine when they have done a parody of the Batman films. You might remember seeing the image shown here of Alfred E. Neuman as The Joker ( Heath Ledger version ). Mark also did a lot of the Stock Art ( or Style Guide Art ) used to promote THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Franchise. His images were placed in magazines, advertising, & other media packaging. Anyways, it's all good stuff & if you would like to see more of his work then just click HERE!
I can't remember how I came across the ART of Mark Dos Santos website but I'm glad I did! His artwork is pretty cool & as an example look at this parody of an old "Saturday Evening Post" Magazine Cover featuring The Joker & Harley Quinn. It's titled "The Gotham Evening Post", hilarious! To check out more of his amazing graphics just click HERE!
