I recently received some very nice photos from a fellow Batman Collector named Brad ( Be sure to click on them for larger, more detailed, pics ). He has a really great Batman Statue Collection. Now, there were a ton of photos so I'm just showing a few right now, and later I will post the rest. But I'm putting them in categories, so they make sense, so don't worry. These pics focus mainly on the Batman: Black and White statues. Then, there's a few other busts & random statues... all great stuff! I think it's really neat to see a lot of the B&W figures all together. They always make an interesting display. My next post will focus on his Joker Collection so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, here's some great stuff to drool over, ha! ( Thanks to Brad for sharing, YOU ROCK, Sir! )
DC Direct just announced this New CATWOMAN STATUE that will come out towards the end of the year. It was sculpted by Karen Palinko.
This rendition of Gotham City’s most purrrfect Cat Burglar is the latest addition to DC Direct’s exclusive 1:4 scale museum quality statue series. Catwoman’s costume is tailored and detailed, while various mixed media elements give this statue texture and visual interest.
The CATWOMAN 1:4 SCALE MUSEUM QUALITY STATUE includes hand-painted resin parts, measures approximately 19” high x 10” wide x 7” deep, and will hit the stores around December 21st, 2011 with a retail price of about $325.00.
Here at the Bat-Blog we always love when Bat-Fans send us fun pics to share. Like these, from our friend Ruben, which show his rising Batman Toy Collection. There's some really cool stuff here & I like how it's displayed too. Ruben's main focus seems to be Action Figures or other figural-type items but we can also see some Hot Wheels Cars & other items too. Now, I know a lot of people are gonna ask, "Hey, What's that HUGE Batman Figure in the corner of that 1st pic?" Well, don't go searching in retail stores just yet, ha! That's a Life-Size BATMAN Statue that Ruben made awhile back. In fact, a few months ago we featured it here at the Bat-Blog, for more pics click HERE! One last thing before I complete this post, I wanna thank Ruben for sharing all of these wonderful photos, this is some cool stuff, thanks!
While searching "Batman Statues" on eBay the other night I can across this "Homer Batman" one that is both pretty cool & very clever. Now, I don't know if it's an actual licensed product so I'm not going to completely endorse it ( Plus, I don't know anything about the quality of the item ). But I thought I would share it as "Batman News" because this thing is awesome! It's basically a super giant-size bust of Homer Simpson dressed as the Dark Knight! As a side-note, these are the guys who also sell a Complete Set of Life-Size Justice League of America Statues ( We're showing the Batman one as an example ). Oh yeah, they also make one of Mickey Mouse Statue which is obviously NOT Batman-related but I think it's extremely cool!
Here's a brand-new statue from DC Direct of THE JOKER as he appears in the new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game. I like that they went with a "classic comic book" version of the character, "The Clown Prince of Crime!" It's based on the artwork of Jim Lee. This statue will be hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measure approximately 7.6" high x 5 1/4" wide x 2 1/5" deep. It will also be a Limited Edition piece. The retail price will be around $ 90.00 & it goes on sale near November 16th, 2011.
Here's a promotional photo we just got from DC Direct. This is the beautiful BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Statue. It's a part of the "Batman: Black and White Statue" Series. It was sculpted by Dave Cortes. This statue's image is based on the video game design. It measures approximately 7 1/4" high x 6 1/4" wide x 4 3/4" deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box. It will retail for around $ 80.00 and will go on sale near August 31th, 2011. Remember, for great service & better prices on these statues be sure to use the button below:
OK, I have been meaning to post these photos of this amazing Batman Toy Collection for a very long time, but around the time I got them I was having some major issues with my email programs. So, to make a long story short, I don't have the name of this Toy Collector, I'm sorry. So today I decided to post these wonderful pics anyway. because they do sort of speak for themselves. Shown here is an incredible display of Batman Statues, Action Figures, & other Toys. This Collector lives in the Philippines& did an amazing job displaying all his stuff. I totally love the shelving here, very impressive. The 1st photo shows an over-all shot of the display area. Then, in all the other photos we get to see each individual shelf. I kept those pics pretty BIG so if you click on them you can see way more detail. This is some nice stuff!! I wanna thank the guy who sent these pics & also apologize to him for taking so long to get thee up ( Hey, please contact me, ha! ). Note: I also have some more photos from the same guy but because of space limitations I will present those later... Stay tuned because they're pretty cool too! Also, if any other Batman Fans out there have any fun pics to share then please do!
The Javits Center in New York City was bustling this week with some of the coolest and most unusual collectible action figures and statues at the 2011 TOY FAIR. Among them, DC Direct displayed some their newest products. Shown here are the DCU Online MMO figures of THE JOKER and HARLEY QUINN ( These look pretty awesome! ). Plus, speaking of Harley, we also get to see the Harley Quinn Figure from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Action Figure Series ( Video Game Version ).
Dang, DC Direct keeps cranking out those BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE Statues! But I think they're pretty cool so I'm not complaining. This latest statue was designed by Cliff Chiang with a look inspired by the Dark Knight's appearances in FIRST WAVE! Cold-cast in porcelain, the statue measures approximately 7 1/4" high, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box. looks like it will have a Retail price around $ 80.00 and will be released October 5th, 2011.
At the end of next month, March 30, 2011, DC Direct will release a brand-new BATMAN Statue of TWO-FACE as a 1:2 Scale BUST. It was sculpted by ANDY BERGHOLTZ. The man once known as District Attorney Harvey Dent appears here in his classic comic-book style, dressed in his trademark dual-fabric suit, shirt and tie, which are finely tailored over his cold-cast porcelain body. It will be mounted on a museum-style, pedestal display base, this mixed-media piece measures approximately 13" tall, includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity and is packaged in a 4-color box. Limited edition of 500 pieces & will have a Retail price around $ 295.00 but can be found ON SALE at certain websites.
Here's a clever "Toy Review" video I found the other night on the new Batman DC Chronicles Statue. The interesting thing about it is that there is NO talking but the guy just shows the statue very close-up from many different angles. Seeing this, it's making me really like this new piece. The statue is sculpted by Tim Buckner & is basically the way the Dark Knight looked in his very 1st appearance, sort of a "1939 version". This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain statue measures approximately 6 3/4" tall. For price information click on the TFAW button down below.
OK, Since the Bat-Blog is ALL about the Dark Knight I'm just posting photos of the Batman-related statues, Batman and Catwoman. But before I get ahead of myself, here's the deal. For 2011 DC Direct is coming out with a huge set of statues to celebrate the entire DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game world. They measure approx. 7 1/2" tall & are cold-cast porcelain. They're also based on the comic book art of Jim Lee. So far there are 10 statues planned to be released in small waves during 2011 but I think they will add even more once the video game becomes very popular. Who are the characters made so far? You have Batman, Catwoman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Zatanna! If you would like to see them then just click the button down below.
Check out this new ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN: BATMAN VS. THE JOKER Statue designed ( and sculpted ) by Tim Buckner. Just click on the pics up above for larger, more detailed, photos. The statues can pivot independently on their bases and rotate their heads to customize and direct the action. Collect the other statue sets in the series! Mix and match them to create your own showdown or combine them all in one ultimate battle scene. These hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain statues measure approximately: Batman: 7.5" high x 4" wide x 4.5" deep and The Joker: 8" high x 6" wide x 4" deep. While surfing through eBay the other day I came across this Life-Size BATMAN Statue & knew it had to be shared. Why? Well, besides being extremely cool, the same company also makes many other members of the Justice League. Just check out the 2nd photo: Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern!!
