New DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Statue - The JOKER

Here's a brand-new statue from DC Direct of THE JOKER as he appears in the new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game. I like that they went with a "classic comic book" version of the character, "The Clown Prince of Crime!" It's based on the artwork of Jim Lee. This statue will be hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measure approximately 7.6" high x 5 1/4" wide x 2 1/5" deep. It will also be a Limited Edition piece. The retail price will be around $ 90.00 & it goes on sale near November 16th, 2011.

I always crack-up every time I see Harley Quinn with her giant-mallet hammer, ha! It's Classic! This is a nice series of statues with a lot of Batman-related characters. It's hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measuring approximately 7" high x 4 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" deep. It will be a Limited Edition Statue, with an estimated retail price of $90.00, and will go on sale around November 16th, 2011.

New DC UNIVERSE ONLINE STATUES - Batman and Catwoman

OK, Since the Bat-Blog is ALL about the Dark Knight I'm just posting photos of the Batman-related statues, Batman and Catwoman. But before I get ahead of myself, here's the deal. For 2011 DC Direct is coming out with a huge set of statues to celebrate the entire DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game world. They measure approx. 7 1/2" tall & are cold-cast porcelain. They're also based on the comic book art of Jim Lee. So far there are 10 statues planned to be released in small waves during 2011 but I think they will add even more once the video game becomes very popular. Who are the characters made so far? You have Batman, Catwoman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Zatanna! Today, January 11th, 2011 ( 1-11-11 ) is the day that DC UNIVERSE ONLINE opens up so I thought I would post this nice instructional video from Gamespot. It shows how you create a character & begin the game. It also has a lot of tips on how to use weapons & get around the environment. Also, It looks like you're going to have to have a pretty powerful computer to play. Check out this "System Requirement" list:

I'm proud to say that this week's "Batman Wallpapers" were submitted by Bat-Blog Fans, Yes! The 1st one was sent-in by our friend Gary & he said that he made it using promo art for the new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game, that's cool because it's very modern. The next one has sort of a vintage retro-style. Mainly because it uses comic book artwork that was originally done by Paul Gulacy. Also, it was made by a guy named Michael, he did a great job on it. I wanna thank both of them for sending these in. I always appreciate when fans of the site get involved, that's cool! Both of these backgrounds are totally wonderful.

Hey Kids, it's time again for Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday! We got some really great Batman Backgrounds this week so get ready! The 1st one is extremely special. It's an art sketch submitted by Josh Adams. You might recognize the last name because Josh's Dad is none other than Neal Adams! It seems that great artistic talent runs all through this family.
