BATMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds - Graphic Artwork & Action Figures Photo

Here every week at the Bat-Blog.com we post some unique BATMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds that are fun. We call the event, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", ha! The 1st one is a wonderful graphic sent in by our friend Chris. It's a colored drawing of multiple Batman heads, very cool! His friend, Aaron Florian, created it. It's a photo of 2 very cool DC Direct Batman Action Figure Toys. The left one is a "Golden Age 1939" version ( or "Batman's First Appearance ). The right one is a more "Modern Day" version... awesome! I wanna thank Chris for thinking about the Bat-Blog & sending this wonderful artwork. BATMAN AUCTION NEWS - Bob Kane's Original 1939 Page Proofs for Detective Comics 27 at Heritage

The big news in both the auction world & comic book fandom is that Heritage Auctions ( Dallas, Texas ) is offering the Original Production Proofs for Detective Comics # 27 ( 1939 ) that were once owned by Batman Co-Creator Bob Kane. Of course we're talking about the first appearance of the character here! A "Proof Page" in comics was a test printing of an uncolored page used by artists and writers to see how their work would look on the printed page. Now, while this is not the actual original art, this is probably the closest anybody will ever come to owning some production material from this landmark issue. They're estimated to sell for at least $1000 each & they have 5 of them for sale, which are pages 2-6. The image up above shows page 3 & if you click on it, it's extremely sharp, you can see the amazing details of this item. The "Batman Page Proofs" will be part of Heritage Auctions' Signature Vintage Comics & Comic Art Auction held on February 24th, 2011. For more details, click HERE!

New BATMAN - THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD "The Knights of Tomorrow" Wallpaper Backgrounds

Here, for your viewing pleasure, are 2 brand-new BATMAN WALLPAPERS with images from the next TV Batman: The Brave and The Bold episode, "The Knights of Tomorrow". Tonight's show will be sort of special because it's going to send Batman through time & we'll all get a look at all the many variations of the character in different eras. Like, "The Riddler" Wallpaper Background shows a 1939 Golden Age Batman ( See the short purple gloves, unique bat-belt with circle buckle, & his ears are super-pointy ). Then the one with Robin is very much like the 1940's when Bruce first acquired Robin, the Boy Wonder. It has a very 1940's look about it too. Awesome! This episode looks like it's going to be great!
